The G8 was called the american M3, and for large aftermarket power, you can't beat the the LS. While I'll always be a bit biased, the SRT-8 is great for comfy fast straight line speed. Yes the cylinder deactivation caused troubles, but also the 2009 GT 6.0L also had the cylinder deactivation issue.
